If you notice multiple charges appearing on your credit card after placing an order, don't worry. Sherrin only processes payment once for a completed order. In many cases, what appears to be a duplicate charge may be a temporary authorisation or the result of additional checkout attempts.
Multiple charges can sometimes occur if:
A) The Submit Button Was Clicked More Than Once
If the 'Submit' or 'Place Order' button is clicked multiple times during checkout, your bank may display more than one transaction or authorisation request. While only one payment is intended to be processed, duplicate temporary charges can occasionally appear on your statement.
B) Changes Were Made During Checkout
Additional charges may also appear if you:
- Navigated back during the checkout process
- Updated your shipping or billing information
- Modified items in your cart
- Attempted to resubmit your order after making changes
In some cases, your financial institution may place multiple authorisation holds on the card while the final transaction is being confirmed.
What Should I Do?
